The Pensacola Symphony Orchestra in partnership with Pensacola State College is hosting an All-State Audition Clinic for middle and high school music students. The clinic on August 26 will prepare students for the upcoming 2017-18 All-State Band and Orchestra auditions.
The clinic will provide students with an opportunity to work on their repertoire with professional musicians from the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra and faculty from Pensacola State College. During the course of the morning, students will view a mock audition, review scale preparation and sight-reading preparation, as well as participate in a master class with an emphasis on their specific exercise selections. Students should bring their instruments along with their All-State music. Percussionists only need their sticks, mallets, and music.
