This is an exciting & important week for the band program, as we will be performing our 2021 Show at Halftime! Please take care of yourself so you can be present at all rehearsals.
Monday - No School
Tuesday - Tri-M New & Returning member meeting, 3:30p; Band Booster meeting, 6:00p;
Rehearsal, 6:00-9:00p*;
*Woodwinds are from 5:00-9:00p
Wednesday - All-State Audition Help, 3:30-4:15p (highly encouraged - Auditions are next week*)
*Auditions will take place at Milton High School. Times will be posted as soon as they are received.
Thursday - Rehearsal, 5:00-9:00p
Friday - Away vs. Pensacola HS - call time is 4:45p*; Halftime Performance of our 2021 Show!
*Dress is 2021 band t-shirt, khaki shorts, and tennis shoes
*Bring a water jug filled with water!
*Additional Details will be coming in an email this week
Additional Reminders
Students who miss the Thursday evening rehearsal (excused OR unexcused) will not be permitted to perform the 2021 Show that Friday/Saturday. This policy is listed in the Band Handbook.
FINAL CALL - If you are in need of black marching band shoes this year, please make sure you place this order ASAP. This is YOUR responsibility. Students who do not have this shoe will not perform in the uniform later this month. You can find a link to place your order HERE.
Open Private Lesson times are available before and after school. Each band student is responsible for taking TWO private lessons each 9-weeks, and is a significant portion of their grade. Please do not wait until the end of the nine weeks to complete this assignment.
Band Jacket Order forms are available in the Band Room. An email was sent out last week with details regarding this optional purchase. If you have a credit on your account, you MAY put this towards the cost of a jacket. Order forms and money are due Wednesday, September 15th.
