JUDGE ROOM ASSIGNMENTS
Arrive at least 30 minutes BEFORE your first performance time. Plan on allowing yourself 45 minutes to comfortably get to Escambia High School. Bus transportation and instrument transport will not be provided.
Dress professionally! Not your concert black attire, but something to make you look presentable.
Check in at the front desk once you arrive (larger choir members do not need to do this)
Warm Up is located in the cafeteria. Instrument cases may be kept in the cafeteria.
Arrive to your performance room early, but be prepared to wait if the judge is behind. If your accompanist is late, wait until a judge is finished with a solo or ensemble, and then politely explain to them that you cannot perform at your scheduled time. They will understand.
Congratulations to both the Indoor Percussion and Winterguard for placing 1st in their classes last night at Tate High School!

I hope that everyone had a relaxing and peaceful winter break, but unfortunately all good things must come to an end.
It is back to school tomorrow, and we are ready to hit the ground running in 2019!
There is not much happening this week since the directors will be attending the Florida Music Educators Association conference in Tampa, but everyone will need to take a moment to give the next few months of our band calendar a glance.
In the fall, we were managing primarily one single rehearsal schedule after regular school hours... marching band.
Starting in January, we are now managing 3 concert ensembles, 1 jazz ensemble, 5 chamber ensembles (choirs), and 2 indoor ensembles! It is a VERY busy time of year.
The band CHARMS calendar can be accessed through our band website (click below):
BAND CALENDAR ACCESS
If you have not already synced the calendar to your phone, you really should.
Instructions on how to do this are on page 5 of the Band Handbook (click below):
University of Southern Mississippi All-South Honor Band audition due date is January 9th
The University of West Florida is hosting Allen Vizzutti on Saturday, January 19th! Allen is one of the world's finest trumpet players, and all band students are encouraged to attend this free event. Details are posted in the band room.
If you have a balance due on your band account, please continue to work towards making monthly payments - we have several upcoming fundraisers as well, so take advantage!
Those who made the Santa Rosa All-County Honor band are REQUIRED to attend the scheduled rehearsals - check the calendar for rehearsal dates.
