What We DoThe Pace Band Boosters is a parent organization tasked with providing the necessary funding required allowing the directors and the students to participate and compete at the highest possible level.

How We Accomplish This
Throughout the school year, and as early as the summer prior to the school year, we organize fundraising activities to help us reach the goal that our directors and the Booster board member’s agree is achievable for the upcoming year. This is typically in the range of 65-80 thousand dollars spread out over the entire year. This may seem like a large amount, but to participate at the competitive level that the students pride themselves for being capable of it is necessary. These funds support staffs that are utilized during the marching season to assist in honing the musical and visual appearance of the band in preparation for the State competition in Tampa. We have several key fundraising opportunities that we conduct, one being the operation of the concession stands during the football season. This typically accounts for 50% of the yearly budget. As well as the support for the concessions during the football season we will also coordinate additional fundraisers throughout the school year. The main reason that I mention these now is that as incoming parents of band students to Pace High School your involvement in the Booster organization is what keeps us successful from the beginning of the year, and throughout your child’s years in the Pace High Band program.
It is not only about the fundraising as there will be numerous opportunities to interact with the band students through chaperoning to band trips, or away football games. These are delineated through a process of accumulating volunteer hours provided at the fundraising events. The chaperones are chosen from those who have met the minimum requirement of volunteer time.

We look forward to each and every parent’s involvement in the boosters because without your efforts, knowhow, and expertise the band will not be as successful as it can be.
